Who am I now? As of April 28, 2005, 9:00 PM, I’m a second semester junior at Cal State Long Beach, a film major with ambition and aspiration but lacking the true finesse and technique to make something cohesive and worthy of my name. I’m from San Diego, California, a wonderful city to grow up in and also a wonderful city to die in, but for the period inbetween I’d rather be somewhere else, hence my attendance at CSULB. I’ve got two fairly Vietnamese parents along with three fairly bizarro sisters (their sites are linked at the left), and my zany-but-effective upbringing leads me to believe that whatever I do, people will take notice of me. Though I’m pretty settled into being a filmmaker, what I end up doing is still up in the air — maybe I’ll win an academy award, or maybe I’ll be the cutest boy in the unemployment line. Time will tell.
Here’s a pic:
I wrote an “about” page a while ago on Diaryland, and you can see it here. It’s somewhat accurate, but rather out of date in stylistic/philosphical terms, kind of like a picture of me in baggy jeans.
