I’m going to take a break from my usual satyrical observations of the world, and scream like a little girl.

Today was awesome. It was the day of the San Diego Best Fest Student Film Festival, basically a showcase of the most goodest high school films in San Diego, and then an award ceremony for the winners of the cash prizes.

And our movie got first in the Drama Category!

So yeah, me, Mike, and Dave won $500 split three ways, which I will probably spend buying a large stuffed snowman and those cute red platforms I saw at Macy’s. Also, at the reception, they were having a raffle for random movie-related prizes, and when the announcer presented a framed poster of Monster’s Ball plus the original script, I said, “Wow, I really want that.” And then he called my name!
