Today was eventful, but in that spurty sort of way.
I had to take my sister to the orthodontist at two. I picked up a copy of Martha Stewart Living while waiting for her teeth to be hammered on, in which I discovered that birdfeed can provide ground traction in the cold season and one of the secret ingredients to great spiced lemonade is whole cloves.
Around six, I took her to the new high school they just built, Westview, where she’s going next year so she could pick up her schedule and textbooks. For this new school, they went with this iffy post-modern slanted-roof design that they’ve been using on the libraries and middle schools for the past few years, which makes Westview High School look like someone ate Mesa Verde Middle School and pooped out a larger version of it elsewhere.
Eightish, Mike came over and we tried to figure out what to do while playing Crazy Taxi (a game in which you drive people around trying to make “crazy money”). At first I suggested the local Indian casinos, then he suggested just hanging out at the beach, and we finally settled on calling up a bunch of people and going bowling.
Bowling tonight, I discovered that the easiest way to get a gutterball is to actively try not to get a gutterball. However, if you try to get a gutterball, the ball may end up lodged in the ceiling. The game is flawed.
So I came home about an hour ago and played around/fixed up the new Poot!cam thing. I’m breaking my usual habit of short/mildly witty entries because I put on too much deoderant, and the smell is keeping me awake.
