So it seems I’ve slumped into one of those writing lapses where the only thing that’ll pull me out is a redesign. Which then brings up the issue of finding time to do a site redesign — I’m taking 21 units this semester. Oof.

Guess I’ll perform the life snapshot: school’s got me squeezed like a lower intestine after some In & Out, but I don’t mind much because I’m finally taking classes that matter to me. Most notably: Scriptwriting, Sound Design for Film, American Films of the 70’s, and a class that’s basically free-form film production. As for relationship status, I’m somewhere near the fence, peering into Relationship Country and tempted to make the climb despite knowing that the gringo will inevitably throw me back. Basically, same as always, heh.

Musically, I’m branching out further into the opposite directions of rock. Getting more into Rilo Kiley, Eisley, Rocket Summer type stuff, and also doing the headbanging thing to Blood Brothers, MeWithoutYou, etc. Random other good recent picks include new Anberlin and Mars Volta albums, and also The Faint and Muse.

Started reading my (or rather, Kathy’s) big green Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy collection in anticipation of the movie, and I’m reminded of what a lovely and rare thing that good writing is. I hope to someday do as Douglas Adams did and stumble upon the same sort of inspiration (or magic variety of drugs).
